Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, August 2026 — Reliance Retail has appointed Manuj Bansal as Vice President, Head of Supply Chain for its Beauty Business. In his new role, he will lead the supply chain agenda for the business, with a focus on building an agile, cost-efficient, customer-centric, and sustainable operating model to support growth in an increasingly omnichannel beauty market.
Manuj brings more than 16 years of experience across supply chain strategy, network design, logistics, demand planning, customer service, manufacturing, operations transformation, cost optimization, and last-mile delivery. Prior to joining Reliance Retail, he spent five years with Flipkart, where he held a series of senior leadership roles across large appliances, grocery, first and last mile operations, network design, and cost transformation.
Most recently at Flipkart, Manuj served as National Head – Large Appliances Supply Chain, leading pan-India operations across fulfilment centres, first and last mile operations, cost, speed, and service transformation. During his tenure, he helped introduce two-hour delivery and installation across 16 cities, improved cost-to-serve, expanded the fulfilment network, and led a workforce of more than 1,800 employees. Earlier, he was National Head – First & Last Mile Operations, Network Design and Cost Transformation for Grocery & Large Appliances, where he managed more than 2,000 employees across over 1,000 distribution hubs.
Before Flipkart, Manuj spent more than 11 years with Unilever, building broad experience across manufacturing, logistics, network optimization, demand planning, customer service, and distribution. His roles included Factory Head, Project Manager – Network Optimization & Distribution Center Road-map, Head – Ultralogistics, Customer Service Manager – General Trade, Demand Planning Manager, and Customer Service Manager – Modern Trade. His work covered major transformation programs in transportation, distribution, forecasting, service levels, plant productivity, and supply chain digitization.
Manuj began his career through Unilever’s Business Leadership Trainee program, gaining cross-functional exposure across procurement, factory operations, demand planning, supply planning, warehousing, logistics, customer service, and sales. He also completed a summer internship with Nestlé India, where he worked on distributor norms and last-mile service optimization.
He holds an MBA in Logistics, Materials and Supply Chain Management from Indian Institute of Management Mumbai, giving him a strong academic foundation in end-to-end supply chain strategy and operations.
