Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, August 2026 — Edmonton International Airport (YEG) has announced the appointment of Davesh Shukla as Chief Technology Officer (Interim) at Edmonton Airports, bringing more than 30 years of experience across aviation technology, operations, airport development and business development to the leadership role.
In his new capacity, Shukla will lead YEG’s technology modernization efforts and work closely with the organization’s Technology and Innovation team to advance key departmental priorities over the next 12 to 24 months. His mandate will draw on his experience in aligning technology strategies with business requirements, strengthening governance, managing large-scale transformation programs and guiding organizations through complex change.
Shukla brings extensive international aviation experience, with his career encompassing more than 18 airports and 100 terminals across Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, India, Turkey, the Philippines and the Middle East. Over the course of his career, he has held senior executive responsibilities including Chief Information Officer, Chief Executive Officer and technology strategist, providing him with a combination of technology, operational and business leadership experience.
His background across airport technology and infrastructure has involved navigating complex, mission-critical operating environments where technology, passenger experience, operational resilience and organizational priorities intersect. At Edmonton Airports, this experience will support YEG as it continues to modernize its technology environment and advance its broader innovation priorities.
Shukla holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Westminster, completed between 1990 and 1993. He also earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Liverpool in 2004, complementing his technology background with business and entrepreneurial leadership expertise.
