Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, April 2026 — Arvind Advanced Materials Limited has announced the elevation of Sohil Deshmukh as Chief Operating Officer – Industrial Fabrics, marking an important leadership progression for the long-serving technical textiles executive.
In his new role, Deshmukh will lead the company’s Industrial Fabrics business, with a focus on operational excellence, customer value and sustainable growth. His elevation follows more than a decade of leadership experience within the broader Arvind organisation and a career spanning manufacturing, technical textiles, sales, marketing and international business.
Before moving into the COO position, Deshmukh served as Associate Vice President – Sales & Marketing at Arvind Advanced Materials Limited from April 2025 to March 2026. Prior to this, he spent more than 13 years with Arvind Limited, progressing through several leadership positions. From 2017 to 2025, he was Head – Sales and Marketing, with responsibility for the technical textiles business covering specialty yarns, filtration fabrics, belting and industrial fabrics. Earlier, he served as Chief Manager and Senior Manager – Marketing – Filtration and Industrial Fabrics.
Deshmukh’s experience in the textile industry extends beyond Arvind. He previously worked as Export Manager at Khosla Profil Pvt Ltd, handling international business for filtration rolled goods, made-ups and technical fabrics. Earlier, he managed fibre and yarn exports with Sofeene India and Centrac India and worked with Saurer Group in spare-parts sales for textile machinery.
He began his career with Grasim Industries Limited, working in production and viscose fibre process optimisation for spinning operations. This combination of manufacturing experience and subsequent commercial leadership has given him exposure across the industrial textile value chain. Deshmukh also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Symbiosis.
