Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, August 2026 — Sheetal Suvarna has been promoted to Director, HR Operations – APAC, MEA, CIS & India at Wabtec Corporation, expanding her leadership responsibilities across a diverse international footprint. The elevation marks another milestone in her nearly two-decade career across HR operations, HR service delivery and people operations.
In her expanded role, Suvarna will lead HR operations across Asia Pacific, the Middle East & Africa, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and India. Her mandate builds on her experience managing HR operations across multiple countries and complex regional environments, with a focus on consistent service delivery and effective HR operational frameworks.
Suvarna has been with Wabtec Corporation since 2023, initially joining as Manager – HR Operations, APAC. In May 2024, her responsibilities expanded when she became Senior Manager – HR Operations, APAC & CIS, adding markets including Kazakhstan, Moldova, Pakistan, Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine to her regional remit. Her promotion to Director reflects a continued expansion of her responsibilities within the organization.
Prior to Wabtec, Suvarna spent more than five years with Atkins as Senior Lead Human Resources – India, APAC & Australia, gaining extensive experience in managing HR responsibilities across geographically distributed businesses. Earlier, she worked with Ola as an Operations Team Lead.
A significant foundation of her HR career was built during eight years at Accenture, where she served as HR Service Delivery Team Lead. Her responsibilities included service delivery and SLA management, providing her with extensive experience in structured HR operations and shared-service environments. Across her career, Suvarna has developed expertise in HR operations, service delivery, regional HR management and operational leadership, which she now brings to her broader role at Wabtec.
