Cropnosys India Appoints Satish Akde as Head – Procurement

Vapi, Gujarat, India, August 2026 — Cropnosys India Pvt. Ltd. has appointed Satish Akde as Head – Procurement at its Vapi operations. In his new role, he will lead the company’s procurement function, strengthening strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, cost optimisation, and procurement resilience across its agrochemical manufacturing operations.

Satish brings over 17 years of experience across agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost management, and supplier relationship management. Throughout his career, he has managed complex procurement portfolios across multiple categories, helping organisations improve sourcing efficiency, build stronger vendor ecosystems, and support operational continuity.

Prior to joining Cropnosys India, Satish served as Senior Director – Strategic Sourcing at Navin Fluorine International Ltd., following his earlier role as Director – Strategic Sourcing. During his tenure, he contributed to strategic procurement, supplier development, commercial negotiations, and sourcing initiatives supporting the company’s specialty chemicals business.

Earlier, he spent nearly five years with UPL as Senior Manager – Procurement, where he gained extensive exposure to procurement in the agrochemicals sector. Before that, he was Deputy Manager – Procurement at Hikal Ltd., handling procurement responsibilities across a complex pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals environment. Satish began his career with Indofil Industries Limited as Officer – Supply Chain Planning and Costing, building a strong foundation in supply chain planning, commercial analysis, costing, and procurement operations.

Satish holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Gulbarga University, complementing his procurement and sourcing expertise with strong commercial and business acumen.
