Pune, Maharashtra, India, August 2026 — APL Logistics has elevated Amardeep Chougale to the role of India Managing Director & South Asia Program Director, expanding his leadership responsibilities across India and the wider South Asia region. In the new role, he will head the India country P&L, strategy and operational execution while driving standardisation, modernisation, digitisation and automation initiatives across South Asian markets.
Chougale has been with APL Logistics since November 2024, initially serving as Country Head & Managing Director – India. In that capacity, he led the country P&L and operational strategy while focusing on customer service, cross-business collaboration, supplier relationships and government compliance. He also spearheaded capability development, technology advancement, continuous improvement, customer retention and new customer onboarding. His expanded mandate builds on these responsibilities, with an additional focus on regional transformation across South Asia.
Prior to APL Logistics, Chougale served as Vice President – Customer Success & Development at Freight Tiger from 2021 to 2024. He led enterprise SaaS B2B growth, existing-business expansion, customer retention and value delivery, P&L management, strategic partnerships, solution design and customer onboarding. Earlier, he founded Yoryo, where he worked on technology-led transportation management solutions and gained entrepreneurial experience spanning product development, go-to-market strategy, business development, account management and P&L leadership.
Chougale previously spent more than seven years with DHL Supply Chain, progressing through leadership positions including Director – Strategy and COE, India Cluster, Director – India Strategy and Healthcare, and Head – Healthcare India. His work encompassed business strategy, integrated business planning, multi-client warehousing, P&L management, new business development, solution design, cold-chain management and logistics capabilities. Before DHL, he spent nearly six years with Nokia, ultimately serving as Head of Logistics Service Deployment & Strategy, with experience across India and emerging South Asian markets including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and the Maldives.
His earlier career includes more than eight years with Colgate-Palmolive, where he progressed from manufacturing and process engineering into regional logistics leadership. Across his career spanning around three decades, Chougale has developed extensive expertise in supply chain management, logistics strategy, P&L leadership, digital transformation, customer success, warehousing, transportation, technology deployment and business growth. He holds an MBA in International Business & Foreign Trade from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
